Tank Head
Metal Ministry Inc. Non-ASME tank heads for atmospheric or low pressure applications include Standard, Shallow, Reversed Flanged and Dished, Flanged Only, Dished Only, Dished and Flared and Conical heads. Special or stock tank heads are available upon request.
We provide ASME pressure vessel tank heads include Flanged and Dished as well as 2:1 Elliptical, Hemispherical, and Toriconical tank heads. Tank Heads are widely used in the manufacturing of tanks and vessels for the pharmaceutical, chemical, biotech, cryogenic and food and beverage industries.
Tank head diameters include 9″ to 118″, 14 gauge to ½" thick, from stainless steel, nickel and specialty alloys such as Hastelloy, AL6XN, Duplex 2205, and Inconel. Available unpolished or polished with our state-of-the-art CNC polishing equipment. All tank heads available with custom welds prep such as tapers, bevels, lands, or squared.

Automated Cutting of Holes in Tank Heads
- Hole locations are determined by customer supplied AutoCAD drawings and relayed to the machine via Surf cam software which eliminates the need to layout the hole locations by hand.
- Holes can be cut on any angle in any shape to accommodate fittings that will be welded in the heads.
- All holes are cut to precise shapes and dimensions to eliminate gaps between the fittings and holes that encourage the fitting to move or become distorted during the welding process.
- Multiple heads become more consistent due to closer tolerances on hole locations
